Agape OVC – Uganda Ministry Update: Ongoing Needs & Opportunities to Support

Dear Friends and Partners in Ministry,

We are grateful for your continued prayers and partnership in serving the children in our care. As we move through the month of April, we wanted to share some important updates regarding our ongoing needs and invite you once again to stand with us in love and support.

Just like at Gathaithi OVC – Kenya, the children at Agape Orphanage – Uganda are currently on their April break. This break presents us with a critical opportunity to settle all pending school fees before the Second Term begins. Across all our centers — Agape OVC, Gathaithi OVC, and our wider outreach programs — we urgently need to raise $2,100 to cover these educational costs and ensure that no child is left behind when classes resume.

In addition to school fees, we have been prayerfully working towards enhancing our digital ministry. One pressing need is a 48-inch television and reliable internet connectivity for the children. These tools are essential for hosting virtual Bible studies, educational lessons, and connecting with supporters. They will significantly improve the children’s learning experience and spiritual engagement. To make this a reality, we are seeking $1,200 — a one-time investment that will have a lasting impact on our digital outreach and the children’s development.

As we prepare to increase our tech capabilities, we are also mindful of the need for greater energy capacity. At Agape OVC – Uganda, we recently installed additional solar panels, and now need to purchase two extra batteries to store enough power, especially with the anticipated use from the TV and internet. For this, we’re trusting God for $1,100.

Meanwhile, over at Messianic Hope OVC – Kenya, there is an urgent need to complete the washroom doors. While two doors on the boys’ side were recently completed, one remains undone…none of the girls’ washroom doors were done. We need to install four new doors in total, at a cost of $1,000, to ensure privacy and safety for all the children.

As we work to meet these specific needs, we are also reminded of the daily operational demands of our orphanages and ministry programs. We truly need more committed partners to join hands with us. If even a few friends could commit to $20 a week, it would go a long way in easing our operational burden and helping us focus more on ministry and care.

Thank you for your continued love, prayers, and support.

Baruch Hashem…
