At Agape OVC in Uganda, every child who walks through our doors deserves a safe, clean, and welcoming place to call home. Our mission has always been to provide not only food, shelter, and education, but also a loving environment where vulnerable children can grow with dignity, hope, and faith. While we are grateful for God’s faithfulness and the generosity of our supporters, we are currently facing some urgent facility needs that require immediate attention.
Over the years, our buildings have experienced significant wear and tear. The living area, where our children spend much of their time together, is in need of fresh plastering and painting to restore it to a healthy and encouraging environment. Our kitchen, where daily meals are prepared with love, also requires repairs and repainting to improve both safety and hygiene. In addition, our toilet facilities need urgent renovation to ensure they remain clean, functional, and suitable for the children in our care.
To complete the necessary plastering and painting work throughout these essential areas, we are seeking to raise $1,200. This investment will help transform the living spaces, improve sanitation, and create a brighter, healthier home for every child at Agape OVC.
We are also urgently fundraising $440 to replace and repair the toilet doors. Recently, officials from the City Council visited our orphanage to inspect our facilities. During their visit, they expressed serious concern about the condition of the toilet doors, describing them as being in a very deplorable state. We were given a deadline to have the doors repaired and brought up to an acceptable standard. This is not simply a matter of meeting regulations—it is about preserving the privacy, dignity, and wellbeing of the children who rely on these facilities every day.
