Messianic Hope Children's Home

Welcome!!! These are our goals for our new OVC – Messianic Hope OVC, Gilgil : $6500 for Garden Boxes, Booster Pressure Water Pump and a Guest House for Workers…

Hello and Welcome everyone to this new segment of our website solely focusing on Messianic Hope OVC in Gilgil, Kenya. As we had indicated on our previous Weekly Update, this OVC home will partially be under our care, as an affiliate from the Beth Yeshua International.

We have already had two visits over there and we are aware of what we can do on the ground there to uplift the lives of these young ones. On our said visits, we were able to get these children a sack of clothes, meat, vegetables, cereals, potatoes and fruits. The land that this Orphanage sits on is semi-arid, we can hardly grow anything for now but we’re looking to turning this around. On our initial projects, we will be looking to making garden boxes; similar to what we are currently doing at Gathaithi OVC.  We will attach some videos of the said garden boxes. Subsequently, we will devise a way of irrigating these garden boxes. We can start by planting vegetables, onions and such to cut down on their weekly basic needs. As it is with our original aspiration, we want to make these Orphanages as self-sufficient as possible.

To our relief is that much of the structures have been done and a few projects are completed or underway. For their plumbing project, they have very low water pressure. Now that we’re looking at doing Irrigation for their gardening, we will really have to first do some upgrades with their plumbing project.

On our initial projects i.e the cement work for the garden boxes, booster pressure water pump and a guest house for workers, we are looking at raising $6500 to enable us do this.

We are kindly calling for more partners to help us do this – with these new addition – Messianic Hope Gilgil, we will be needing more for our weekly basic needs. Help us do this.

Thank you and God Bless – Baruch Hashem.
