11th September 2024 Update: Our current goals at Messianic Hope OVC – $3500 to finish the Garden Boxes Project, $7000 for building a Vocational Training Centre, $2200 for Hot Water Shower Project…

Hello everyone, here is a brief update on the progress of Messianic Hope in Gilgil…

First is to highlight what we have accomplished this past week. We completed the installation of the Hot Water Tank for the Kitchen and installed a booster pressure pump for the tanks. We also replaced the Granite Top for the Kitchen Counter Top and did some Tiling also…We had a new Deep Freezer delivered and much more is going on here –

On the ongoing Garden Boxes Project, much has been done and we are almost winding up with the first phase and starting off with the smooth-coating around the boxes. We are very intentional with this, to make them able to grow their own food, at least vegetables and cut down on the overall weekly expenses. Our ballpark budget to have all the Garden Boxes done is $3500. As it is on our original aspiration, we want to make all these Orphanages and Outreaches as self sufficient as possible. The Garden Boxes Project at Messianic OVC in Gilgil is a replica of the one we did at Gathaithi OVC. The latter is doing great…! Thank you so much to all who have walked with us on this one.

Another project that we are looking at getting off the ground at Messianic Hope Orphanage in Gilgil is a Vocational Training Centre; just like we did at Gathaithi Orphanage. On this, we have an estimated budget of $7000. It could be more as we will have to start from scratch here. We can’t do this without your hand, kindly consider partnering with us. Lastly is the installation of Hot Water Showers at the Bathroom stalls. We found the plumbing to the stalls at deplorable state and had to start off with changing the Water Cisterns, the flex tubes and the overall plumbing that feeds the Bathrooms. We have also done the electrical work and we now ready for the Hot Water Shower. On this, we will need $2200. This amount is inclusive of buying the Boilers and its accessories, the plumbing work and its final installation. We are looking to have this done sooner. Kindly consider partnering with us on this.
