We bring you warm greetings from Agape OVC and thank you for your continued prayers and support. The children and staff are doing well, and we remain grateful to God for His provision through each of you.
We would like to share an important update regarding our solar power system. The batteries that have served us faithfully for over three years are now in urgent need of replacement. These 200-amp batteries originally came with a two-year warranty and have now gone beyond their expected lifespan. To ensure stable and sustainable power for the center, we are looking to replace them with four new 400-amp batteries that come with a warranty of up to seven years.
The total cost for this upgrade is $2,200, which includes the cost of the batteries, shipping from Nairobi, and customs fees at the border. We are praying and trusting God to meet this need soon so that the children’s daily activities and studies can continue uninterrupted.
In addition, it has been on our hearts to provide the children with a TV set and internet connectivity to enhance their learning and communication. At present, they rely on a single laptop for Shabbat teachings and Zoom meetings, which has become increasingly difficult due to the number of children and poor internet access. With a TV and reliable internet, we can create a better learning environment and strengthen our connection with partners and teachers. The cost for this project is $600.
