We are deeply grateful to share some wonderful news from Agape OVC in Uganda: we have completed all the repairs to the toilet doors that we shared about earlier! This was made possible because of the kindness, generosity, prayers, and support of people who believed in this need and chose to stand with us. To everyone who contributed in any way, we say a heartfelt thank you. Your support has made a real difference in the daily lives of the children we serve.
While we celebrate what has been accomplished, there is still more work to be done.
We are currently fundraising $1,600 to complete plastering and paintwork on most of the walls throughout our facilities, particularly in the dormitories, food storage rooms, and kitchen. These improvements are important not only for the appearance of our buildings but also for creating a healthier, safer, and more encouraging environment for the children in our care.
Over the years, our buildings have experienced significant wear and tear. With children living, learning, eating, and growing together in these spaces, regular maintenance is essential. The dormitories, where our children rest and share life together, are in need of fresh plastering and painting. We want these spaces to feel clean, welcoming, and worthy of the children who call them home.
Our kitchen is another important area requiring attention. This is where daily meals are prepared with love and care for the children. Proper plastering and repainting will help improve the cleanliness, safety, and hygiene of this essential space. The food storage rooms also require attention so that we can maintain an environment that is clean and suitable for storing the food our children depend on every day.
Every repair we make is an investment in the well-being of the children. A safe and well-maintained environment communicates something powerful: you are valued, you are loved, and you deserve to live in a place filled with dignity and hope.
