Building Hope, Restoring Dignity, and Creating Opportunities

Update on the Construction of the Village Widows/Women Shelter

With grateful hearts, we begin by saying thank you to everyone who has stood with us in building the Women/Widows Shelter through our Village Outreach. To every person, family, church, organization, partner, and well-wisher who has prayed for this vision, given generously, encouraged us, or simply believed in what we are doing—thank you. Your support has helped us come this far, and we do not take your kindness for granted.

By the grace of God, we have accomplished much of the work on the Village Widows and Women Shelter, but we are not yet at the finish line. We are still fundraising $75,000 to bring this important project to completion. We are currently working with very few partners, and we are prayerfully calling on more well-wishers to come alongside us and become part of this noble cause.

For those who may be new to our Ministry, the Village Widows and Women Shelter is a two-level facility being constructed at our village outreach. From the beginning, we have envisioned this project as far more than simply another building. It is being created as a sanctuary—a place where vulnerable women and widows can experience healing, safety, dignity, and renewed purpose.

Within its walls, women facing hardship will find not only shelter but also encouragement, practical support, and a loving community that reflects compassion. We want this to be a place where a woman can come during one of the most difficult seasons of her life and discover that she has not been forgotten.

Many widows and women in the surrounding communities face tremendous challenges, including poverty, loneliness, abandonment, and limited access to resources. Too often, they carry these burdens quietly, without a safe place to turn or people who can walk alongside them. Through this shelter, we hope to change that reality.

Our prayer is that this facility will become an environment where hope can flourish once again. It will be a place where lives can be restored, confidence rebuilt, and new opportunities created. We believe that providing shelter is only one part of the mission; restoring dignity, encouraging independence, and helping women rediscover their God-given purpose are equally important.

Alongside the shelter project, we are also continuing our Vocational Classroom at Gathaithi OVC. This classroom is an important part of our commitment to creating practical opportunities for learning and empowerment. We are currently in need of $600 for materials, steel, lumber, and other supplies required for our vocational classes.

These vocational activities give us an opportunity to equip people with practical skills that can contribute to greater self-reliance and a brighter future. Every piece of material purchased and every class conducted represents an investment in someone’s potential.

We therefore invite more partners and well-wishers to join us. Whether you are able to contribute toward the $75,000 shelter completion fund, the $600 vocational classroom materials, or simply support us through prayer and encouragement, you can become part of this mission.

We are not merely constructing buildings. We are building places of hope, restoring dignity, developing skills, and creating opportunities for lives to be transformed.

To everyone who has already walked with us, thank you for your generosity, prayers, and unwavering encouragement. To those considering joining us, we welcome you to partner with us in making this vision a reality.

May God bless every giver, every prayer warrior, every partner, and every person who believes in this mission.

Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for helping us build hope.

Baruch Hashem!
