Gathaithi Orphanage, Welcome to the New Beginning

With these last projects being completed at Nema Mercy Children’s Home, we are so grateful that our prayers were answered and Adonai opened a new door. We were drawn to a new location that was not known to us previously. We were brought to a remote and very impoverished farming community. Gathaithi Orphanage came to us through no accident. Though the orphanage has good buildings and have a good space, they have absolutely no help from anyone and were struggling and still are, immensely.

They are in dire need of beddings, new bed frames and mattresses. Also, the girls’ and boys’ bathrooms badly needed work with the plumbing, we found that their water reservoirs were empty, they were completely out of water and severely lacking food. We desperately need partners for this project, we have much work to do here, they are feeding over seventy children daily, twenty-two of the children need beds and bed frames, and there’s no refrigerator. The one they have is old and hasn’t worked for years.

There are eighteen children in this orphanage that are HIV positive and need constant and keen medical attention.

We have a lot of work to do and we desperately need our partners to jump into this mission field with us, as 100 percent of your donation will go to supporting these needs, there will be no labour costs, no administration fees.

For those that require a receipt for their donations, they will receive the receipt directly from the orphanage itself.

The plumbing work at Gathaithi Orphanage was in a serious bad shape, the taps at the Boys’ and Girls Dormitory ceased working a long time ago. We have currently repaired the same, and things are now looking up for them, we are still requesting our partners to chip in for a constant supply of water, as this precious commodity is currently in a serious shortage…. We are currently tracking in water as noted above.
