LIVING BY FAITH

How many times have you heard especially from Christians…. “We walk by FAITH and NOT by SIGHT.”

Do they truly understand the meaning and application of this statement?

And how does this relate to works ?

LIVING BY FAITH

“The religious observance that God the Father considers pure and faultless is this:

To care for orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being contaminated by the world.”

Ya’akov/ James chapter 1 verse 27 CJB

 James speaks of 3 aspects that are seen in what we do that give EVIDENCE TO OUR LIVING BY FAITH.

THEY ARE; COMPASSION / EMPATHY /COMPLIANCE / OBEDIENCE AND ..COURAGE TO ACT IN FAITH.

This is the true measure that tells you if a person is truly born again with a new heart a new mind…. Having empathy and compassion…

Hashem is NOT looking for meticulous Bible study….  although study is still very important….  He is looking for compassion and empathy.

Ya’akov writes : ” If you truly attain the Goal of Kingdom Torah,  in conformity with the passage that says , LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF,  YOU ARE DOING WELL. “

 YA’AKOV/ JAMES 2:8

In relationship with Hashem, people will see IN US an expression of what our God is like,  BECAUSE… HIS CHARACTER … WHICH IS HIS NAME…IS IMPARTED TO US …. AND GIVES EVIDENCE OF HIS GLORY.

If we put faith in something passive, we will experience it passively,  BUT if we put FAITH in something ACTIVE,  we join in the activity of the object of our faith.

GOD IS ACTIVE,  and our faith in Him unites us to his activity on earth 🌎 🙏  and we become  What we were originally created to be….

WORKERS TOGETHER WITH HIM !!

Remember we are created in HIS LIKENESS !!

COMPLIANCE with Hashem YHVH is our OBEDIENCE TO HIM !!

Ya’akov writes,  ” Avraham had faith in God,  and it was credited to his account as RIGHTEOUSNESS….. HE WAS EVEN CALLED GOD’S FRIEND. ” Ya’akov 2:23.

Because Avraham TRUSTED and OBEYED GOD, it was credited to him RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The FIRST ACT OF FAITH is PASSIVE….  God has promised ……. Therefore I trust him to do it.

BUT THE SECOND ACT OF FAITH in which he OBEYED GOD, even to the point of sacrificing his only son….

GOD TESTED Avraham’s faith, and with Isaac bound on the altar, Hashem intervened and stopped him.

A period of testing will come in all our lives !

Realize this when you read Matthew chapter 25……. It is the purpose of the great tribulation to not only bring the world to repentance….

 But to test those who claim to be the true sheep followers….  there is going to be a great separation of sheep and goats.

It is through these actions which cannot be forced that a person knows if they are truly born again or not.

There is first a PASSIVE FAITH where we recognize Messiah DIED FOR OUR SINS, and we say, THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS !!

BUT it then moves to an ACTIVE, OBEDIENT FAITH in which we are COMPLIANT OBEDIENCT TO THE WILL OF GOD.

“FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD “

THE THIRD evidence of LIVING BY FAITH IN GOD IS COURAGE. 🙏 🙌

This is the hard one…. This is what will be tested during the tribulation….

Ya’akov writes in chapter 2 verse 25, “…. wasn’t Rachav the prostitute also declared RIGHTEOUS because of actions when she welcomed the messengers and sent them out by another route?”

At risk to her own life …. Rachav / Rahab hid two Israelite spies in her home, displaying more COURAGEOUS FAITH IN ADONAI THAN THE SPIES DID.

She believed their God had already given them victory over Jericho, and that He was both God in HEAVEN AND ON EARTH !!

The spies were skeptical of the God on earth….

They were not convinced of a victory….

Rahab’s / Rachav’s FAITH in the God of Israel was greatly evidenced in her COURAGE TO ACT !!

An exact comparison would be the twelve-year-old David against Goliath….While Legions of israelite soldiers stood by cowering with no FAITH while a 12-year-old boy did their job.

IMAGINE THE HUMILIATION  !!

FAITH / TRUST in God is ACTIVE FAITH….

It is the EVIDENCE OF FAITH when caught up in the ACTIVITY OF GOD !!

WE ARE COMPASSIONATE in our WORK / WORKS…..

WE ARE COMPLIANT/ OBEDIENT TO GOD

and COMPLETELY DEPENDENT ON HIM….

WE ACT IN COURAGE….

Example….

Shutting down Abortion clinics…..

Standing up for TRUTH and RIGHTEOUSNESS

THIS IS LIVING BY FAITH AND DEMONSTRATES THE LIFE OF YESHUA HAMASHIACH ADONAI IN US !!!

OUR PRAYER…

HEAVENLY FATHER…. help me to live a life of faith in which my works demonstrate compassion, empathy, compliance, obedience to YOUR WILL AND PURPOSE
