Ministry Update – August 2025

We are grateful to share some of the progress and needs within our ministry as we continue to serve vulnerable communities with your support and God’s unfailing provision.

Ministry Van Transmission Serviced
We are thankful to report that our ministry van has been successfully serviced. Recently, we encountered a problem with the transmission system, which made the vehicle unreliable and unsafe for our regular outreach and transportation activities. After consulting with our mechanic, it was determined that a full general service of the transmission system was necessary. We followed through with the recommendation and are glad to have the van back in excellent working condition.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who stood with us financially and in prayer to make this repair possible. Your generosity keeps us moving — quite literally — and ensures that we can reach more people in need.

Washroom Doors Completed at Messianic Hope OVC – Gilgil
Another milestone to celebrate is the completion of door installations at the boys’ and girls’ washrooms at Messianic Hope OVC in Gilgil. In total, four doors were replaced — one on the boys’ side and three on the girls’ side. The previous doors were in critical condition and had become unsafe and unusable.

We are excited to share that the new doors are now fully installed, painted, and looking great! The upgrade has significantly improved the hygiene and dignity of the children who use these facilities. We deeply appreciate all those who contributed to making this improvement possible.

Stove Rebuilding and Tables in Progress
We recently returned to Messianic Hope OVC and managed to rebuild one of the stoves. Only one remains, and we plan to complete it during our next visit. A properly functioning kitchen is vital for preparing meals for the children, and we are eager to complete this work soon.

Additionally, we are preparing to set up tables for both dining and study areas. The table tops are ready, and we are now focusing on fabricating the frames. These tables will go a long way in creating a conducive environment for learning and fellowship.

Urgent Need: School Fees
As the third term of school approaches, we are working hard to complete school fees for the children at both Gathaithi OVC (Kenya) and Agape OVC (Uganda). While we’ve managed to make partial payments, we still have a shortfall of $3,100 that must be raised before schools reopen at the end of August.

We humbly ask for your partnership in this critical need. Your contribution will ensure that these precious children do not miss out on their education.

Village Outreach – Solar System Expansion
In our Village Outreach program, we are in urgent need of $1,200 to purchase two additional batteries for our solar power system. Currently, we only have two batteries installed, which are not enough to provide a steady and reliable power supply. Completing this setup will significantly improve our operations and the quality of life in the community.

Medical Fund – A Volunteer Needs Surgery
We are also raising $1,500 for our Medical Fund, an area we’ve long needed to address. We currently have a dedicated volunteer who requires surgery, but unfortunately, we’ve never had a designated fund for medical emergencies. Creating this fund will not only help in the current situation but also prepare us for future health-related needs within the ministry.

We are appealing to anyone moved by this cause to join us in establishing this essential support system.

Widows Outreach Expansion – Long-Term Goal
Another exciting initiative is our Widows Outreach Expansion. We have launched a fundraising drive to purchase land and establish a Community-Based Organization (CBO) for widows. Our goal is to help them become self-sufficient and reduce reliance on external aid.

We are targeting $20,000 to acquire land and set up income-generating activities such as a grocery store, sewing shop, or ideally both. Long-term, we also envision establishing a Medical Centre on the same premises. It’s an ambitious goal, but with collective effort, it is possible.

We are seeking long-term partners who can walk with us step by step as we work toward this vision.

Weekly Needs – Partner With Us
Lastly, we continue to face the ongoing challenge of meeting our weekly basic needs for food, hygiene items, and other essentials. We are looking for steady partners who can commit even $20 a week — consistent giving in any amount helps more than you can imagine.

We remain deeply thankful to each and every one of you who continues to pray, give, and stand with us. Your support is not just making projects happen — it is changing lives. Let’s continue working together to bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to the children, widows, and communities we serve.

Thank you and God bless you abundantly!
