Missions Update: Agape OVC and Village Outreach
We are excited to share the progress of our mission work in Uganda at Agape OVC (Orphaned and Vulnerable Children) and the Village Outreach (Kenya). Over the past few months, significant upgrades have been made to both facilities, which will have a lasting impact on the children and the surrounding community.
At Agape OVC, we have completed all the wiring in the kitchen, ensuring that the electrical system is safe and efficient. Additionally, we have installed new sockets and switches, making the facility more functional. In the dining hall and dormitories, we replaced all the burnt-out LED lights and repaired the faulty sockets, significantly improving the lighting and overall environment for the children.
With the recent installation of additional solar panels to increase the solar power supply, we are now in need of extra storage capacity. To accommodate the increased energy input, we need to purchase two large batteries for the system. This upgrade, which includes the cost of the batteries, shipping, and labor, will amount to $1,200. This will ensure that Agape OVC can continue to operate sustainably, providing reliable energy to support the facility’s daily needs.
Similarly, at the Village Outreach, we have also expanded the solar power system by adding extra panels. However, to ensure the power supply remains consistent, we now require two additional large batteries for storage. This upgrade, like the one at Agape OVC, will cost $1,200, bringing the total fundraising goal for both projects to $2,400.
We are reaching out to our partners and supporters to help us raise the necessary funds to complete these electrical upgrades. Your contributions will make a real difference in the lives of the children and communities we serve. We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners who have made these improvements possible. Together, we can continue to bring light and hope to Agape OVC and the Village Outreach.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
