OVC’s Update: 9th January 2025

We are pleased to share that the children in our orphanages have returned to school for the first term of the year! We have successfully settled all school fees for both primary and secondary school, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to pursue their education without financial barriers. This would not have been possible without the generous support of our partners, and we are deeply grateful for your unwavering commitment to these children’s future.

As we continue our efforts, we are now focusing on the construction of a chicken coup at Messianic Hope Orphanage in Gilgil. This project will provide the orphanage with a sustainable source of food and income. To complete this important initiative, we need to raise $3,500.

In addition, we are excited to announce that we have completed the second phase of the garden boxes at Messianic Hope OVC. The pedestals have also been built, and we are now looking to implement the irrigation system, purchase water tanks, and cover the labor costs to finalize this project. The total cost to complete this phase is $1,200.

Lastly, we are planning a solar upgrade at Agape OVC in Uganda, which will improve energy access for the children and staff. We also need to install LED lights in the kitchen; we have never done any electrical work on the same since its completion…The dining hall also need some more lighting…The total cost for this upgrade is $1,600. The amount being inclusive of getting some more panels, LED lights, labour and other logistical costs…
