Warm greetings to you all. We are deeply grateful for your continued prayers, encouragement, and generosity. It is because of your partnership that we are able to share encouraging progress on the work happening at our Village Outreach and beyond.
We are happy to report steady and tangible progress on the construction of the Village Women/Widows Shelter. By God’s grace, we are almost done with the foundation all around. The structure is now just about to be built up to full foundation height, after which we will begin constructing the walls. Seeing this vision take physical shape has been both exciting and humbling for our entire team.
At this stage, we are currently fundraising for $94,000, an amount estimated to complete all the ground level and the second level of the building. This has been a draining project—financially, physically, and emotionally—but it is also one of the most meaningful undertakings we have ever embarked on. We are therefore calling upon more friends and partners to join us in this noble cause and help us carry this vision to completion.
For those who are new to our website, we would like to share the heart behind this project. We are embarking on one of our most impactful and ambitious initiatives yet: the construction of a two-level Women/Widows Shelter at our Village Outreach. This center is designed to be far more than just a building. It will be a safe haven, a place of healing, and a foundation for empowerment for women and widows in our community.
The planned facility will include a Medical Centre/Dispensary, Sewing Shops, and a range of income-generating activities. These initiatives are intended to equip women with practical, hands-on skills that lead to self-sufficiency. Through this work, we aim to restore dignity, independence, and purpose—creating a place where healing is paired with opportunity and where hope is renewed through action. We invite you to be part of this noble cause.
In addition to this, we would like to update you on another urgent need—our outreach in Congo. Following an attack on one of the orphanages we work with due to ongoing conflicts and civil wars in the region (as shared in our earlier post), many children were scattered across different refugee camps. We are grateful to report that the tracking efforts were successful, and all the children are now safe and accounted for.
This was made possible through the tireless efforts of Pastor Jerome and Pastor Philip, who went from camp to camp in an exhausting but faithful mission. We are forever grateful for their dedication. However, some of the children are in dire condition, and we have decided to relocate 48 children to Uganda so they can be incorporated into an orphanage and receive the care they urgently need.
This process involves extensive paperwork and careful planning, but Pastor Jerome and Pastor Philip are handling it, and we will continue to update you on the progress. We believe God is leading us, and that He will make the burden lighter. Our initial fundraising goal for this effort is $8,000, to facilitate the relocation and settle the children before incorporation into the orphanage. Due to security reasons, we have not shared extensive details, but attached videos below this post provide more insight. For further information, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
We close by sincerely thanking all our friends and partners for standing with us. Your support is making an eternal difference, and we are truly grateful.
