Without getting into a long-winded explanation for today’s teaching I will let it speak for itself.

SPIRITUAL LIFE

” the thief comes only in order to steal, kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, life in its fullest measure!”
Yochanan ( John) 10 verse 10 NLV

The interesting thing about Lazarus while he was buried in the Tomb is that because the only thing wrong with him was that he was dead nothing else about him was right. He may have being a very clever, kind and wealthy man, but none of that mattered now. To be dead cancels out everything that may have being good about him, because it ceases to exist. Whether we can recognize it or not, there are many people who have the same problem in that they are dead; not physically; of course, but we are far more than a physical being !!

Scripture talks several times about the fact it is possible to be alive in one dimension and dead in another. Rabbi Saul ( Apostle Paul) tells us; “but the one who is self-indulgent is already dead even though he lives” 1st Timothy Chapter 5 verse 6.
The only way it is possible to be dead while still living is there exists more than one kind of life. When Yeshua said , ” I have come that they might have life and have it to the full,” this presupposes something very important….. that they do not have life!!
Spiritually they are dead and their physical body becomes the tomb of their spiritual death! This is not speaking about physical wealth here on Earth.

Our natural condition is spiritual death, which is separation from G-d, but scripture makes very clear that the gospel of Yeshua Messiah is about becoming spiritually alive!! That is to become regenerated, which is to be made alive again or in the words of Yeshua, ” being born again.” When Yochanan ( John) writes, ” that you may believe that Yeshua is the Messiah, son of G-D , and that by believing you might have life in his name, this again presupposes there is no life.

Being spiritually dead maybe the one thing wrong with many people, but that means nothing else about them is right.
They may be good and kind, but that is not the issue that brings life.
The issue is about being alive as opposed to being dead.
What is it like to be dead?
Would a diagnostic check fit us in any way?
A dead person has no appetite no interest in anything and does not learn anything.
Evidence of spiritual death is that there is no appetite for things of Adonai. But when Hashem begins to work in a person’s heart, it is His Spirit who draws them before spiritual birth .. evidence of the Ruach Hakodesh ( Holy Spirit ) conception is in us is that there emerges an appetite, a longing and a seeking for Adonai.
Physical life will not save us! We need spiritual life, which is the actual life of Messiah Himself within us that counteracts our natural condition and is our life.

Dear heavenly father thank you for the life we have in Yeshua hamashiach, our only means of being reconciled to you and being recipients of everlasting life! Amein
