We are excited to share with you some encouraging updates from the field and the direction God is leading us in this season. First and foremost, we want to thank every one of our faithful partners who made it possible for us to deliver Bibles to Burundi and Congo. Your support continues to make a powerful impact in spreading God’s Word across East and Central Africa. Many lives are being transformed because of your prayers, generosity, and commitment.
While we are still in need of delivering more French and Swahili Bibles to Burundi and Congo, we will be temporarily putting that on hold as we respond to an urgent need much closer to home.
At the moment, our focus is shifting to a few congregations in Nairobi, with one in particular just outside the city that is in desperate need of Bibles in Kikuyu and Swahili. We are currently aiming to provide 60 Bibles in both languages for this community, which will cost us $1,200. This is a crucial step in equipping these believers with the Word of God, and we are trusting God – and you, our partners – to help us make this possible.
However, the primary reason for this update is to share with you the major project we are currently preparing to launch under our Village Outreach Program – a vision that has been on our hearts for some time.
We are excited to announce plans to develop a piece of land that we have been prayerfully eyeing for months now. This land will be used to establish a Ministry Women’s Shelter and Widows’ Housing Center, providing a safe space and a fresh start for widows and vulnerable women in our village communities.
This center won’t just provide housing; it will also include:
- A Medical Center and Pharmacy to serve widows, orphans, and the community at large. Medical facilities are scarce in the area, and this will be a lifeline for many.
- A Business Center where widows can learn practical skills and run income-generating activities, such as sewing and weaving shops, which will help them gain financial independence and restore dignity.
We have already made a partial payment toward securing the land, but we urgently need to raise $7,600 to complete the purchase and finalize the legal documentation and land title deed. Without this, we cannot move forward with construction.
The total projected cost for the construction of the entire facility is approximately $35,000, but we are starting with a fundraising goal of $10,000 to get the first phase underway – which includes paying off the land, securing the papers, and beginning the foundation work.
We cannot stress enough how important and time-sensitive this is. With your support, we can finally break ground and begin providing real, lasting change in the lives of widows and vulnerable women.
This is more than a construction project – it’s about restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity to those who have been forgotten and left behind.
