OVC’s General Update: 30th January 2025

Hello everyone…We are excited to announce that we have successfully completed the second phase of the Garden Boxes at Messianic Hope OVC in Gilgil! With all the plumbing work finished and the sprinklers now fully operational, the garden is thriving. This development is a huge milestone, as it means the orphanage will have a reliable and sustainable source of vegetables and other greens. Not only will this provide for their daily consumption, but with surplus produce, the orphanage can also generate income, bringing us one step closer to our goal of self-sufficiency.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners in this Ministry. Your support and contributions have made this progress possible, and we are incredibly grateful for your generosity. Thanks to you, the children at Messianic Hope OVC will be nourished by fresh produce and the orphanage will become more self-reliant in meeting its needs.

Looking ahead, we are excited to begin our next project: the construction of a chicken coop at Messianic Hope OVC – Gilgil. This is a crucial part of our long-term plan to achieve self-sufficiency. To bring this project to life, we are raising $3,500. This amount will cover the costs of materials, labor, and logistics. We urgently need your help to get this project off the ground, and we know that with your support, we can make it a reality.

At Agape OVC in Uganda, we are working on a solar power upgrade and need additional panels to ensure reliable energy for the orphanage. We are also planning to do electrical wiring in the newly constructed kitchen, which has not yet been wired. To make this upgrade possible, we need to raise $1,600. This will cover the cost of the solar panels, wiring, and additional LED lighting in the Dining Hall.

At Gathaithi OVC, we are addressing a Health Department concern regarding the kitchen floor. The current cement floor is difficult to clean, and we need to install ceramic tiles to meet health standards. For this, we need your support to raise $1,800. Additionally, we need to replace burnt-out LED lights in both the Boys’ and Girls’ Dormitories, which will cost $400.

We truly appreciate your ongoing support as we work to improve the lives of these children and make the orphanages more self-sufficient. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey!

Baruch Hashem…
