WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT/ RUACH HAQUODESH

Good morning, everyone from our family here in Kenya ….as we have embarked on a new week with new challenges, we say Baruch Hashem Adonai!!!

These last 14 days have truly stretched our faith and walk here….

We have once again entered dangerous and uncertain times….

We give Praise for the storms that make us STRONGER!!! BARUCH HASHEM

WE EMBRACE BAPTISM OF HOLY SPIRIT AND FIRE 🔥

Over 360 times we are NOT JUST TOLD…. BUT ACTUALLY, COMMANDED in scripture NOT TO FEAR.

All through the gospels we are reminded that there is going to be much trial and persecution and even death.

We will be persecuted, we will be executed we will be beaten, we will be in prison for our faith, this is a guarantee in Scripture.

So how can we possibly physically and mentally handle this?

Being in missions myself for close to 30 years there is only one way.

I pray and hope that this teaching will help you and encourage you and strengthen you.

WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT/ RUACH HAQUODESH

” I pray. From the treasures of his glory, he will Empower you with Inner Strength by his Spirit, so that the Messiah may live in your heart through your trusting. Also, I pray that you will be rooted and founded in love….”

Ephesians 3 verse 16 and 17 CJB

Some translations instead of trust will put the word faith. This is the foundation of our strength.

The Holy Spirit is that part of YHVH Who operates in our everyday lives and experience.  It is He Who regenerates us, which means” to impart New Life “

Rav Saul’s prayer is that we may be strengthened with power through the Holy Spirit / Ruach HaQuodesh because it is the Holy Spirit who imparts the life of Messiah to us.

People receive the Ruach HaQuodesh/ Holy Spirit, are baptized by the Holy Spirit, and filled with the Holy Spirit, …… BUT THE DEFINING ISSUE IS RECEIVING THE HOLY SPIRIT.

The New Testament / Brit Quo’desh teaches that it is vital we know the Holy Spirit is living and working within us.

Before I go any further let me also add just simply reciting a few words given to you by a pastor…. accepting Messiah as your lord and savior is only the beginning of your journey and walk…. And we need to get ready for the new Battle ahead.

To know to what extent the Spirit is living in us, will either deepen our relationship with Messiah or prompt us to seek more of His Spirit is what is key.

If we are going to experience all that Adonai will do in our lives, we CANNOT BE PASSIVE about the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. It is He who undertakes the task of equipping, directing and empowering us, and becomes the ongoing source of our strength and enabling for which the Messianic life depends.

It is interesting when we look at the persecuted church and those who are in prison in many countries like Iran for their faith.

They never ask us to pray that the persecution will stop.

INSTEAD, they only ask that we pray for G-d TO GIVE THEM THE STRENGTH TO STAND FOR TRUTH… and give them STRENGTH as to NOT DENY MESSIAH.

This is a strength we do not have without the power of Hashem within us.

There are three indications that give evidence of the holy spirit’s working in our lives.

The FIRST is a HUNGER to know Yeshua.  It is the work of the Holy Spirit who Yeshua says will testify about Him Yochanan/ John 15 :26, bring glory to Him (16 :14), and the Spirit will take from what is His and make it known to us (16:15). By the work of the Ruach/ Spirit, Yeshua Messiah will become Central in our lives.  He is going to step out of History, out of the Bible, and become a living person with in our hearts…. the Word and the Torah has been put on our hearts and dwells and teaches within us. This is the evidence that we have truly been born again.

The SECOND evidence is a hunger to be like Him.  The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control Galatians 5 verse 22 and 23. These are all embodied in Messiah, and the Spirit will produce in us a hunger to be like Him.

THIRDLY is a hunger to serve Messiah. The spirit of G-d will breed a ” servant spirit ” within our hearts, in which we discover a new compassion for the world. When we read Matthew chapter 25 verse 31 to the end of the chapter, we see from Messiah this is very important evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit is the service we perform for those who are widowed orphaned in prison beaten naked and so on…

The parable of the Good Samaritan it’s not merely a suggestion to be nice. As we bring our lives under the rulership of Messiah, our Focus changes from what we want to what Messiah wants and we have a hunger to serve Him and care for others in our communities and throughout the world.

The word ” hunger ” is used deliberately because, in this life, we will never know Messiah in His entirety, never be fully Messiah- like and never perfectly desire to serve Him, but we continue to have a hunger to do so…. continually striving to grow and mature from glory to glory day-to-day. In fact, the more we are fed by the Holy Spirit, the more our appetite increases, so we are always hungry for more!

As we enter into a time of persecution and struggle May these words encourage you and stay with you to strengthen you to the end!

Our prayer

Heavenly Father, Sovereign overall the universe, I want to experience as much of You as I possibly can.  Grant me an ongoing hunger to know You, to be like You and serve You. And may I continue to be washed clean through the baptism of the Holy Spirit and cleansed in the fire.

Thank You Adonai Amein.

SHAVUA TOV SHALOM EVERYONE
