And from our family to yours, we are hoping you are having a blessed one too…
First, before putting forth our needs for this week, we are sending our hearts out to all our partners in the field for being a greater part of this, we can’t do this without you lending a hand.
We have accomplished so much this past week, the sidewalks have been redone, a better part of it and we are looking up to complete the same this week…
As we had earlier noted, a better stretch of the sidewalks was in a terrible state, this has continually been a problem, with the numerous cracks and patches, most of the kids have been spraining their legs over time.
Another project that we are grateful to start off is fixing the window panes, most of them have remained broken for the longest time, some were still with the shattered pieces and we had to redo all of them. The area is cold, especially now and with the broken window panes, most of the kids have been developing cold complications.
We are grateful to our partners for making these kids as warm and as healthy as possible.
Moving forward, we can now divert our attention to the Girls’ Dormitory. As you’re all aware, the Boys’ Dormitory was done, complete with the new bed frames, new mattresses and new beddings. Now, for the girls, we are looking up to get new bed frames, new mattresses and new beddings.
We are looking at around 12 bed frames and mattresses and hoping that we can accomplish this in the course of this week.
Our second need this week is a freezer, the Orphanage can really do with one, to preserve the perishables and have them always stocked. We were thinking of getting them meat, at least a couple of times a week, this will definitely need some cold storage; we looked into their diet and it was pathetic to say the least, we had to do something on this.
We can’t do this without your help and we are forever grateful.
