Teachings

Reflection this morning on my journey over the last 30-year period.
For the most part, my being here writing this is a miracle.
The road was long and hard, with so many winds and turns.
Becoming completely dependent on Hashem to bring me through.

I have learned so much about how Adonai works through us.
Literally breaking us of self-centered reliance, and teaches us His yoke is easy.

But, most importantly, He empowers us to do the work !
When the Apostle Paul / Rav Saul says ” through Him I can do all things”
Ninety-five percent of Christians really don’t understand what that means…… and honestly most of Hebrew roots and messianic Believers don’t really understand it either.

It really means we are the hands and feet here on Earth building the Kingdom.
In other words when we pray for G-d to move…..
We are actually praying for Him to empower us to do His will here on Earth.
The problem especially with Christians is they think G-d is a genie in a bottle…… that we pray and somehow supernaturally it happens !!
This is rarely the case.
They don’t realise this is a proactive relationship.
Not only is it important that this connection and relationship between us and our creator is understood and implemented…..
But we need to realise how much we also are connected to each other that we work together as a team. We are the ones physically building the Kingdom.

In these last days we are really seeing divide-and-conquer happening among Believers.
So many arguments over doctrine….. theology and sacred names…..
Very few people are out there ministering to the Lost Souls and telling them of the good news of the Gospel.

And the few that are are doing it alone…… the adversary is beating us down.

Remember in scripture it tells us not to forsake Gathering together….. building one another up this is in the Book of Hebrews Chapter 10 read the entire chapter.

In these last days I am seeing fewer and fewer real friendships.
I can tell you personally if it wasn’t for these true friendships I would never see where I am right now.
Hashem has moved in many ways and put the right people in my path.

So today I believe this is going to be one of the most important teachings, that I pray everyone takes to heart.

FRIENDSHIP

” A friend shows his friendship at all times…..
Mishlet / Proverbs 17 : 17

Deep and lasting satisfaction is not found in wealth, Prestige, ability or accomplishment, but is found in relationships.
When Adonai said in the Garden of Eden, ” It is not good for man to be alone, ” it was not simply a statement about Adams need for Eve. It was a general statement about humanity.
Elohim designed us for relationship, and that includes the interdependence that is derived from friendship.

We have families, neighbours, work colleagues, affiliates in church or congregation, and associates in various organisations, but one of the priorities Hashem gives us is to develop friendships.
As Messianic Believers, a loving committed relationship with our Heavenly Father lies at the heart of our interactions with others.
Out of this we are to build and develop wholesome, loving friendships.
However, Mishlei / Proverbs 18 : 24 warns, ” , some friends pretend to be friends, but a true friend sticks closer than a brother.”
The book of Proverbs has a lot to say about friendship and gives three qualities that characterize a true and lasting friend.

The first quality is faithfulness, which involves a commitment that is unconditional and unending.
It is loyalty that sees each other through the tough times however long it takes.
When many seem to have faded into the woodwork, the faithful friend is always there.
It is being a shoulder to lean on; listening, supporting, caring, encouraging and giving that makes for a true friend. ” do not forsake your friend,” Proverbs 27 verse 10.
Relate this to what is said in Hebrews 10 regarding the ekclesia today….
Do not forsake gathering.

Secondly, frankness is essential. We are to be honest and willing to say what needs to be said and not just what our friend is hoping to hear.
Proverbs/ Mishlei 27:6 says, ” Wounds from a friend are received as well meant, but an enemies kisses are insincere” and 28 : 23, ” He who rebukes another person…… in the end gets more thanks than the flatterer. “
A true friend will in kindness challenge, rebuke and correct when necessary. We need to be accepting of being both on the giving and receiving end of rebuke. ” He who listens to a life-giving rebuke will be at home with the wise ” 15 : 31.

The third quality is Fellowship.
This is going beyond the superficial to getting to know how our friend thinks and feels, particularly concerning their personal life and important matters of life. In the context of friendship, a person of understanding draws out the depths of one’s heart.
Mishlei / Proverbs 20 :5 says, ” The hearts real intentions are like deep water ; but a person with discernment draws them out.”

Faithfulness, fellowship and honesty are the markings of a true and lasting friend, the kind of Friend We Have in Yeshua, and the kind of friend His very nature works in us.

So many people especially in the Hebrew roots crowd seem to forget these Christian slogans that were once their own, ” You have a Friend in Jesus “. This is probably one of the best slogans to use today when winning the lost…..
This world is definitely divided and friendless !!!!
We need to start being these hands and feet here on earth and being a friend to the lost and hopeless.
Baruch Hashem

Our Prayer Heavenly Father
Help me to be the kind of friend ‘ who sticks like a brother ‘ and who gives selflessly, especially in time of need.
Thank you Adonai Amein
