Good morning from Kenya.

This has been a powerful week, watching the panic and concerns of the World regarding the battle in Israel but even the battles on our own home fronts.

This week I posted twice regarding what Hashem downloaded into my heart regarding the time we are in.

Giving evidence of what Hashem instructed and told Israel.

This is a time the true Believers enter into His rest……

But most don’t understand the meaning of that to begin with….

And most disturbing they don’t realise they need to repent!!!

So today let’s get better understanding of what it means to be in the rest of Hashem.

ENTERING HASHEM’S REST

” Therefore, let us be terrified of the possibility that, even though the promise of entering His rest remains, any one of you might be judged to have fallen short of it….”

Hebrews 4:1 CJB

It is possible to be reconciled to Hashem YHVH, but left with a Messianic life that does not work.

The resources we have appear no different than an unbelievers, and the promises of G-d do not seem to be coming to fruition.

This is the way it was with the Hebrew people.

They were witness to many miracles of YHVH, which secured their release from Pharoah, but now a free People safely on the other side of the Red Sea, instead of looking to Hashem being equally capable of bringing them into Canaan, they look to themselves!!

They sent out 12 spies, one from each tribe, to survey the land of Canaan. Ten of the 12 spies reported back that though the land was rich and fertile, there were Powerful, fortified cities with trained soldiers and elaborate weaponry, which would be impossible to overtake.

It was only Y’hoshua and Kalev who believed the resources of those cities were totally irrelevant, because Hashem had vowed to give them the land.

The spies took a vote, 10 to 2 in favour of turning back, and for 38 more years the Israelites wandered the desert.

Every one of their fighting men over the age of 20 had died except for Y’hoshua and Kalev.

During those 40 years of circling the desert, the Israelites were bogged down with a gospel that did not work.  Why?

Hebrews 4:2 tells us, ” For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did, but the message they heard was of no value to them because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.  NLT “

Hearing the word of G-d is not enough!!!

Truth in itself will not do very much for us . It may provide us with information, but does not provide us with transformation.

What turns information into transformation and truth into life is combining the truths we know about Hashem, with unconditional trust in Hashem.

More than 2,000 years later, the writer of Hebrews looks back upon the Israelites wilderness years, and warns us to be careful that we do not have a Gospel that merely reconciles us to G-d, but that we live with faith in Adonai’s involvement in our everyday lives.

So as we look at this world stage right now, after reading what I wrote about what the nations have to repent for in my teaching yesterday, …..

Can we say with any certainty that in the last 50 years true Believers have demonstrated this trust ?

Can we say with certainty the evidence in our Nations and the amount of debotury in our societies clearly spells out our failure.

We were called to fight, be the answer to our prayer for justice in our governments, and we failed  !!

This is entering the ” rest of Hashem YHVH ” where we rest in His sufficiency, His strength and His presence.

Entering His rest DOES NOT MEAN LYING ON A DECK CHAIR SOMEWHERE WAITING FOR HIM TO DO IT FOR US !!

We need to actively stand on his word and fight the good fight of faith.

It is being like Y’hoshua and Kalev who believed, then trusted and stepped out in absolute faith.

Consequently, they were the only two of Israel’s fighting men who had left Egypt and entered the Promised Land!!!

I pray history does not repeat itself as it says in scripture ” narrow is the road and few find it “!!

Our Prayer Heavenly Father,

I pray that I will always combine my faith in You with everything I know about You and Your promises, and thereby enter Your rest.

Thank You Adonai Amein
